Why I Cook with Water (and Why It’s Better)

So this isn’t a trend or a shortcut.
Water-based cooking is something I’ve been doing for years, testing, adjusting, and perfecting until I could make clean, flavorful food that actually feels good in your body.

It’s one of the main reasons my meals don’t feel like meal prep.

What is Water-Based Cooking?

Basically, it means I cook everything with minimal to NO oil at all.

I use water, broths, fermented liquids, and slow simmering techniques to build flavor, not butter, not seed oils, not anything heavy or inflammatory. That includes:

  • Braising

  • Steaming

  • Poaching

  • Slow cooking reductions

And I don’t just steam some broccoli and call it a day. I layer flavor from scratch, with housemade sauces, real ingredients, and techniques that take time to learn.

Why I Think It’s Elite

Because anyone can pan-fry something and make it taste good. Cooking without oil means you can’t cheat. You have to actually know how to build flavor.

It’s:

  • Better for digestion

  • Cleaner on your hormones and skin

  • Easier to track macros

  • And honestly… it just feels lighter

No heaviness. No bloat. Just clean, nourishing meals that still hit.

I’ve Been Cooking Like This for Years

This isn’t something I started last week. I’ve been learning how to do this, really do this for years. Balancing moisture, texture, seasoning, and taste without oils or shortcuts. It’s the foundation of how I cook now.

And every meal I make for my clients reflects that.

It’s not about selling food in bulk. It’s about meals that are:

  • Thoughtfully made
